ALL ABOUT MATT MESICH'S FINE ART

Wild Life Artist

I would like to share with you the long journey that led me to the art I am now creating. At the age of 6 years, I started to draw animals and discovered I was pretty good at it. I kept drawing until about the age of 11 years old, when the love of sports sidetracked me, until the age of 18, then I started oil painting. At the age of 22, I was busy working  long hours, supporting my family, so my art took a back seat.  At age 62 I decided to retire and take up my passion of creating art. Several months before my retirement, I began purchasing books and videos of artists that were masters, and studied them night and day. There were many days I started at 5:00 am and did not leave my studio until 3:00 am the next day. My work was getting better every time picked up a brush. I would like to thank my wife who is my hidden element. She inspires me everyday, and my friends and relatives who tell me that God gave me a special gift, and to continue to paint. Last but not least, God for giving me the passion for creating fine art.
